Homemade Croutons

Homemade croutons will take your soups and salads to the next level! They are incredibly easy to make with just a few ingredients and a choice of bread—whether homemade or store-bought. You might find that you’ll never want to buy croutons again. Don't worry about having leftovers; you will be glad to have extra on hand for days to come. These bite-sized crostinis will become a new pantry staple; you will never want to run out.
Ingredients:
4 thick slices of the bread of your choice (a day or two old is perfect)
2 tbsp EVOO
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried basil
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp freshly ground pepper
Finishing Salt
Steps:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the bread into bite-size cubes and spread them on a baking sheet.
Drizzle olive oil over the bread cubes, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
Mix oregano, basil, paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
Sprinkle the herb and spice mixture over the oiled bread cubes and toss until well coated.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the croutons are golden and crisp.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with finishing salt. Enjoy!
Storage:
You may keep the croutons in a zip-lock bag or an airtight container in a cool place for up to a month.
